PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The philosophy behind our products is simple: two-way, low power, secure radio systems for meeting requirements that cannot be met using off-the-shelf standards-based technology such as Bluetooth and ZigBee. Our solutions often significantly out-perform other wireless systems in terms of range and power consumption because they are tightly optimised to meet the needs of the application. We use high volume off-the-shelf hardware to keep BoM costs low.

Our  Z-485 RS-485 radio bridge  is highly configurable so that it can be optimised to meet the data throughput needs of the host system whilst also achieving the maximum possible range within the regulations. It has been used for access control and energy monitoring and is suitable for most 2-wire and 4-wire RS-485 systems. It can also be easily adapted to work with other serial communications networks that use other proprietary or standard electrical interfaces.

The Body Worn Radio Module is optimised so that all nodes in the network can operate on small coin cells for many months. Its antenna design makes it insensitive to de-tuning by the body. It has a ranging capability which can provide estimates of the distances between devices. A proprietary “multi-path fading” mitigation technique is employed for improving repeatability of distance estimates. It has been used for baby and toddler monitoring and can be employed for applications such as healthcare, recreational and sports activity monitoring.

Our Low Power Long Range Radio Module is designed for monitoring and sensing applications where the data transfer requirements are low. However, it is capable of considerably longer range between nodes than ZigBee and other wireless technologies removing the need for power hungry multi-hop router nodes. It is also especially suited to difficult radio environments where there is shielding and blocking.
