Zimiti joins with Cambridge Wireless in promoting innovation in wireless solutions
Zimiti has teamed up with Cambridge Wireless to innovate and promote new solutions for industry's needs. Cambridge Wireless is a community of companies with a shared interest in the application of wireless technologies and draws on the world-renowned “Cambridge phenomenon” – a region rich in technology companies.
Zimiti’s new base in the Cambridge area allows us to exploit market opportunities with other Cambridge Wireless companies and to draw on a regional resource pool that is world class in wireless technologies and applications.
Cambridge Wireless’ activities are based around a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), each focused on a specific technology and/or market area. SIG meetings provide opportunities for member organisations to meet, form partnerships and exploit opportunities for new business. Zimiti is a member of several SIGs – particularly Future Wide Area Wireless, Short Range Wireless, Wireless Healthcare and Location Based Systems and Services.
Cambridge Wireless interests include all major wireless technologies including: 3G/WCDMA/HSPA, Bluetooth, WiMAX, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), LTE, NFC, CDMA, WiFi, Zigbee and RFID. This allows Zimiti to draw on complementary or synergistic technologies where interworking and global reach are required and to promote its own technology into solving needs that those other technologies are less well suited to. In particular this allows other Cambridge Wireless members to access Zimiti’s broader knowledge and expertise in the proprietary RF arena including the burgeoning M2M space.
John Hunter, Zimiti’s CEO commented: "Cambridge Wireless brings together some very exciting businesses and people from across the wireless industry both locally and globally. We're joining forces with Cambridge Wireless to help us to exploit our technology in new areas and to work with fellow innovators in solving key industry issues".
